The National names Ras El Hekma a North Coast destination to watch
A travel guide to Egypt's North Coast highlights Wadi Yemm's lighthouse, its 10,000-seat amphitheatre, the Montage hotel and villas, and Nammos's resort with 72 residences. Completion is scheduled for 2028.
The National, the Abu Dhabi newspaper, published a travel guide to Egypt's North Coast on 18 October 2026, covering where to go on the Mediterranean and what is coming next. Ras El Hekma features as the coast's major new destination.
The guide notes that ADQ appointed Modon Holding in 2024 as master developer of the site, which covers more than 170 million square metres. It describes Wadi Yemm, the first district, as including a lighthouse, a 10,000-seat amphitheatre, a Montage hotel with 96 branded villas, and a Cycladic-style Nammos resort and beach club with 72 branded residences.
The article is clear that nothing is open to visitors yet. As of July the project was in full construction, with completion scheduled for 2028, which is why it calls Ras El Hekma "one to watch rather than book".
