Where is Ras El Hekma?
Ras El Hekma is located on Egypt's Mediterranean North Coast (Sahel), approximately 85 km west of Alexandria and 200 km east of Marsa Matrouh in Matrouh Governorate. On the Ras El Hekma map, the city spans 170 km² with 44 km of coastline — making it the largest coastal development on the North Coast of Egypt.
Unlike seasonal resort compounds, Ras El Hekma is designed as a fully integrated year-round city with 17 precincts, a central business district, marinas, schools, hospitals and a new international airport inside the city limits.
How to reach Ras El Hekma
By road: approximately 2 hours from Cairo via the North Coast highway, 1 hour 45 minutes from Alexandria, and 1 hour from Marsa Matrouh.
By air: a new international airport opens in phases from Q4 2026, with confirmed carriers including Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways and EgyptAir — placing Dubai, London and Paris within a 4-hour flight.
